Turned up to the match knowing the game could of gone either way every single player on both teams played amazing. It was such a joy to be able to coach such an exciting game today. The pearls got a very very early goal but the pulsars heads never dropped and they carried on fighting and then we got a goal just at the end of the first quarter. Going into the second quarter and the pulsars where already blowing and was already very tired. I told them to stay back if they don’t have the energy to go forward and they don’t exactly that and Holly played a brilliant ball through tho Halle and scored to make it 2-1! The pearls reacted immediately and got straight back into the game making it 2-2. Going into the third quarter I knew this is where we would start conceding as all the girls where very tired but I fact I was wrong and they went out in the third quarter and scored 3 goals to make it 5-2!! I was buzzing going into the final quarter but I made a coaching error and wasn’t thinking straight and put my only defender in net when she was having an unreal game. I then put Emmie at the back with Ella and they done very good. The pearls got 2 goals back that could of been easily prevented but they wasn’t because they didn’t have enough energy to get back! I told the girls to stay back and only let Holly go up the rest stay back and Emmie and Ella got stuck in and defended amazing for the final 5 minutes to hold onto the 5-4 win. Was so proud of all the girls and even more happier that we got the win with no subs can’t wait for the league because the pulsars have an incredible side. A big well done to rob aswell for giving us a good game could of gone either way. Final words from me all the girls that went in goal today definitely had weetabix this morning they all pulled out some very good saves!
